Theological Librarianship, a peer-reviewed journal of ATLA, is currently seeking a new Editor in Chief. 

The primary responsibilities of the Editor in Chief include:

    • Reviewing author submissions and other proposed content and assigns editorial responsibility to a member of Editorial Board or guest editor

    • Writing or assigning an editorial for each issue of the Journal

    • Convening regular meetings of the Editorial Board, including online meetings and two annual in-person meetings (at the ATLA Annual Conference and one other meeting as determined in collaboration with ATLA staff) 

    • Serving on the ATLA Press Coordinating Council (APCC)

    • Participating with the APCC in developing programming for the ATLA Annual Conference

    • Ensuring that the work of the Journal aligns with the Mission, Organizational Ends, Core Purpose and Core Values of ATLA
